So I was over at the Skirtboarders site, just seeing what they’re up to and hoping for a new full length DVD to come out soon. And they’ve got this awesome link to a group of Swedish Skater Girls. I just watched the Skate Archives Dvd last night. I’d been waiting to watch it with a friend, and it was a hard wait, but worth it! What I want to say is, get this! It’s still kinda beyond words to describe it but I’ll try. The spots? Incredible, amazing, unreal. This is true street skating, creativity before your eyes as these guys use the urban landscape. The skating quality is equally fantastic, original. And the filmmaking itself is some of the best I’ve seen. It was made by Yukihisa Nakamura and you can see he absolutely must love filmmaking and skateboarding with a real deep passion. Speaking of passion, this dvd will inspire you and, like me, you’re likely gonna want to just watch it again right as soon as the credits roll.
